If we could we’d live across the street from the beach too
It was the backdrop for our first engagement session of the year and we couldn’t have asked for a more gorgeous day in the month of January. We can’t wait to be back here again for their wedding in May! See you guys soon!

Thank you to all our awesome clients this past year and present! This award recognizes us as the top 5% of Wedding Pros nationwide!! =)

I wanted to give Carmela+Raymund a handful of their wedding day images before the year end as a little gift to say how much we appreciate them and their family. They showed us so much love that I thought we crashed a family reunion!!
Needless to say, with a kickbutt crew consisting of Loyd Calomay and DJ Neil Armstrong, Carmela+Raymund rocked Cancun like none other!
I’ll keep it short and let the *few* images speak for themselves…
To Carmela+Raymund…we love you guys…we’ll talk soon! Happy New Year you love birds

Just as any other destination that we shoot, we wanted to have that “local” feel in at least a few of their images so we thought Market 28 in Downtown Cancun would be the perfect backdrop for what we wanted. After hopping on a local bus, asking a few locals for directions and then a random stranger pointing the way…we finally found our destination. Good times for sure. haha
So here it is, Part 1 of our 2 part New Years post featuring our awesome new friends Carmela+Raymund. Be sure to check back in at 4pm PST for Part 2 of their awesome story. Enjoy.

When Joanna contacted us to do her maternity shoot her only request was it had to be “anti-urban”. So after going back and forth with a few ideas, on the day of the shoot, it hit me…the perfect location!! Little did we know, this perfect location would end up giving us an even better surprise with SNOW! I swear you can’t plan these things but we couldn’t have asked for a sweeter more memorable backdrop to do their first ever maternity shoot.
That said, because we really didn’t plan…as Alan put it “to see snow that day” the shoot only lasted maybe 30 mins tops because we got snowed out and were F-R-E-E-Z-I-N-G! Regardless, they were troopers and we ended getting some awesome shots in.
To Joanna+Alan, i don’t know about you guys but even though our shoot got cut short I think our timing was perfect! =) You guys did awesome and hope you love the pics as much as we loved shooting them
Thanks again for trusting our idea about the location and just going with it! =)

When Lauren and I get to shoot a Destination wedding one of the things we always talk about is how awesome not only the couple is but how awesome their family was as well. Cyn+Josh’s family were definitely no exception. They were amazing. If the aweome home cooked meals that fed over 100 people didn’t tell us that, it was definitely confirmed when Cyn+Josh got FLASH MOBBED by their ENTIRE family! There were so many aspects to this day that made it one of a kind and to be honest, I could’ve posted probably 50 more images but these are a few select images that we absolutely love.
Our favorite?…Probably images 8-10….yeah that’s three images i know. Can you blame me?
To Cyn+Josh…wow, what can we say?! where do we begin?! You two made us feel right at home and we can’t thank you enough. You two were fantastic on every level and looked A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! You two are every reason why we’re in this business. ~Love, John + Lauren

I, Lauren, had to write this post
.When Nina first mentioned Kevin’s name, I told John right away they were going to get married. I saw the look on her face and the sparkle in her eyes and heard the denial in her voice when she said “we are just friends”. It was just a matter of time before she caught up, let go, and fell in love. They had so many adventures together it was only fitting they venture together as husband and wife.
Nina and I are great friends with a sticky past… but are going to be buddies for life! We were so thankful they trusted us to shoot their wedding even though I was a bridesmaid holding a camera/boquet and Jp did some major super hero work by capturing almost everything! Afterall, I was wearing a dress
We got to wear any yellow dress we wanted, bouquet was amazingly put together by Ruby Ellen, another dressed in yellow, and DIY awesomeness everywhere! The day was filled with love and we wouldn’t have expected anything else. Thank you for letting us be a guest/vendor/bridesmaid. We love you guys!
PS…it was really really hard to narrow down images for this post but we somehow managed!

You’ve captured so many memories and emotions, and helped us relive our special day. Thank you so much for these AMAZING pictures, for your friendship, and love; it wouldn’t have been complete without you two being there not only as photographers but also as our friends. We love you!!!
Oak Canyon Nature Center was the absolute perfect place for Laura + Adam to come together as husband and wife. From Laura repurposing her mom’s wedding dress and reusing their parents cake topper, having their friends and family’s wedding images for their centerpieces and wrapping her old bonnet around her boquet…there were soooo many little intricate details that made this wedding so special.
We were blessed to have been part of this special moment in their lives and we thank you for choosing us to keep the memories alive.
To Laura + Adam…you two did so amazing! We hope you love your images as much as we do! ~Love, John + Lauren

“..for them these names “Painter” and “Architect”…they weren’t job descriptions, they were ways of looking at the world”
Many of the designers/architects from the post-war era continue to provide us with inspiration. Can’t wait to see the rest..
It was amazing to be there and see my little sister become a mom…………………wow, she’s a mom!! and see the non stop smile on my brother in laws face…and to see my mom and so happy to have another grand daughter. I, on the other hand, for the first time ever actually became a “real” uncle!! haha. Luckily for them, uncle is a photographer so we were able to snap a few shots of this amazing day
We love you M, Ken and little Ms. Kennedy! Haydn and Zoe can’t wait to meet her!! =)

You guys absolutely nailed it! BEST Christmas present eeeeeeever!

Happy Holidays to you and your family
